Seedling of lancifolia albomarginata ('FRW #1246') = sieboldii. Planted in 1958.
Leaves streaked yellow and some may be margined yellow. No two leaves alike.
A good breeder but may be unstable.
Unstable variegation. Different plants use this name, incorrectly called "Beatrice Variegated". It's ability to produce streaked plants from variegated seedlings made this a choice plant for hybridizers in the 1970's and 1980's. It was from H. 'Beatrice' that Paul Aden and Kevin Vaughn began their variegated line of hosta.
