Descriptions (from various sources):
=H. 'Dreamweaver'.
A TC aberration of H. 'Great Expectations'.
Supposed to have more vigour than his parent.
This is a sport of 'Great Expectations' registered by Kevin Walek.
The plant has flat, round to broadly heart-shaped leaves, 7" across and 8" long, with little of the puckering and twisting common to 'Great Expectations' evident after three years. The foliage is very dark blue with a central streak of creamy pale yellow. Kevin has registered the plant as having a pure white leaf with a 3" intensely blue green margin. We have grown our plant for three years in 30% shade and have yet to see the center turn to pure white, but presume it would if given enough sun.
It is a stunning plant that has attracted a lot of attention here.
Was auctioned at the convention for 200$.
We are extremely pleased to be able to offer this plant, this sport of H. 'Great Expectations' has a very wide blue-green margin and a yellow center that is only 2-3" wide. The leaves are quite round, corrugated and slightly cupped and the clump is topped with white flowers in midsummer. In many of the cooler climates H. 'Great Expectations' is a painfully slow grower but H. 'Dream Weaver' has proven vigor and seems to grow well in all climates.
