Descriptions (from various sources):
Hosta 'Lily Pad'was selected by Bob Solberg on the basis of its unusually round, dark green foliage. I forms a medium-sized mound and produces spider-shaped, purple flowers in late August/early Spetmeber. This is a Hosta yingeri type. The plant I will supply is a well rooted TC. Quite unusual.
An unusual H. yingeri seedling selection from the original seeds that were brought back from Korea by Barry Yinger and J. C. Raulston. Unlike most individuals of the species, it has nicely rounded leaves that are dark green with excellent substance, like lily pads. The flowers are typical of the species, lavender and spider petaled. It is a medium hosta with rich color that shines.
A selection of H. yingeri from Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina; notable for its unusually round, dark green foliage and its late blooming, spider-shaped, purple flowers; good rock garden plant or low edger.
