= longipes 'Urajiro Hachijo' no. 4.
This is a sister seedling of Alex Summers' H. 'Smokey' with rounded leaves, white backs, and red petioles. Much better than H. 'Grand Slam'. It also gives seedlings better than itself. Think these two hosta greats are onto something here. Alex and Jim , who are great friends, shared this batch of seed, which came from longipes 'Urajiro Hachijo'. This is from a small batch of TC plants Jim had done privately.
Light colored leaves, uniform wavy edge, white back, leaves with every flower, pointed tip.
