Intense bluish-purple color into October;
Flowers clustered in tiered whorls up scape (varies).
This small blue forms a clump 8" x 20" of some of the most intensely blue foliage I have seen; Herb deemed it 'purple' blue. It is Herb's second to last generation (F6) of blues from H. 'Dorset Blue' and parent of even more incredibly purple miniature kids: H. 'Amethyst Chip' and H. 'Amethyst Facets' and soon to be registered H. 'Purple Perfection'. It is only grown in a handful of private gardens and has not nor is in mass production.
