When I saw the mature hosta at Keith's place, I knew that it is one of the most beautiful things in the hosta world! I can be more specific later; I took no measurements there that day, but its beauty is indelible. It is a giant derivative of the sieboldiana clan, of the blue-green coloring that one would expect- BUT the RUFFLES!!! Edges are rolled up 3/4" along leaf edges-so much that where the segments meet at the petiole, they overlap! There is, in addition a rich corrugation to the leaves, and they are handsomely displayed to the viewer.
Large 12" x 9" ruffled green leaves with very rippled margins. The top of the petiole is crimped which causes the leaf segments to overlap. Lavender flowers on 32" scapes.
