Small plant. Gold leaves with dark green margin.
Purple striped flowers.
Rumored to carry a virus, but officially checked and certified virus free.
It was Hank Zumach who sent a couple of leaves from his 'Sea Sprite' to Dr. Lockhart at the University of Minnesota for testing. It turned out that no one had ever had a plant tested. Dr. Lockhart confirmed that 'Sea Sprite' did not have a known virus and that the spots were simply a characteristic of the variety. This information was published in the Hosta Journal.
